Specialist remote plating for Great Britain line-engraved stamps.
Overview
QVStamps offers a remote plating certification service, allowing you to obtain a plating opinion and digital certificate without sending your stamps through the post. The service is available for Great Britain line-engraved issues.
Certification
Plating is carried out by Paul Sinyard using imprimatur images, specialist references and plating literature. When a definitive plating opinion can be given, a digital certificate is supplied by email. Copies are retained by QVStamps for reference and backup.
Digital certificates only. Paper certificates are not issued.
What We Need
A high-quality scan is required for each stamp. Images should be scanned at 600 dpi or higher, and several stamps may be included in the same scan if convenient.

Limitations
Certificates provide the plate identification only and do not constitute an opinion on condition, authenticity or SG catalogue classification. If a definitive plating opinion cannot be given, no certificate is issued and no charge is made.
Cost
The charge is £5 per successfully plated stamp. An invoice is supplied with the completed certificate or certificates. The modest fee reflects the remote nature of the service and the fact that no physical handling of the stamp is required.
